House cleaning methods with Baking Soda

Baking soda also called as sodium bicarbonate. We can use this in various household cleaning methods.  Here are few ways that we can use baking soda in cleaning.
  1. Clean & deodorize Refrigerator - We may clean the refrigerator but sometimes it does not remove the bad smell. So if you want to avoid stench, clean the refrigerator with baking soda.
  2. Microwave Oven cleaner - Make a baking soda-water solution. Dampen a sponge and wipe away food and grease easily. Cleans and deodorizes.
  3. Fruits and vegetable cleaner - Fruits and vegetables soak in the baking soda-water solution for few minutes and rinse. It removes bacteria, dirt and wax coating on fruits and vegetables.
  4. Cooking utensils cleaner - We can use baking soda-water solution to clean cooking utensils. Just let them soak in the baking soda-water solution for 15-20 minutes. The solution cleans the grease, grim or food from utensils.
  5. Dish-Washer helper – Add baking soda to your regular dishwashing cycle. This will help to remove grease and grime that builds up on your dishes.
  6. Remove stains from plastic food containers - Make a baking soda-water solution by adding 4 tablespoons of baking soda to a quart of warm water. Then we need to soak the plastic containers for 15-20min in baking soda-water solution to remove tough stains.
  7. Floor Cleaner - Add 1/2 cup baking soda in a bucket of warm water and sprinkle on the surfaces, use a wet sponge and clean floors.
  8. Drain Cleaner – Mix baking soda with apple cider vinegar and let the combination bubble for 15 minutes then rinse it with hot water.
  9. Bathroom Cleaner - We can use Baking Soda to clean our Bathroom.
    a) Toilet: Sprinkle the toilet with a cup of baking soda. Let it sit for 30 minutes, and then spray with vinegar (a mild acid) to moisten. Scrub with a bowl brush and flush away.
    b) Bathtubs and Sinks: Scrub your bathtub, sink with a wet sponge and baking soda. Then clean with water.
  10. Carpet Cleaner – Sprinkle baking soda on the carpet. Let it sit for 30 minutes and then vacuum.
  11. Silverware Cleaner – Make a paste of 3 parts baking soda and 1 part water. Rub the paste onto your silverware and let it sit for 15-20 minutes then rinse and dry.
  12. Closet Freshener – Place a small box of baking soda inside to keep your closet smelling clean and fresh.
