LPG is a efficient energy source used in homes for cooking in india and it is important that we take good care and use it safely. LPG Cylinders cannot be damaged easily and they are strong.
However leaks can occur from cylinder, valves and pipe connections if it is not kept in good condition.

how to check lpg cylinder leakage:
  • Ethyl Mercaptan is added to the gas, which possesses that strong odor of rotten cabbages. The smell helps us to detect when there is a leak.
  • Prepare a soap-and-water solution and put it in a spray bottle or a dish. Apply a soap-and-water solution to each connection in the gas lines. Turn on the gas and look for bubbles. If bubbles form - tighten the fitting slightly with a pipe wrench and recheck.
